WagonMaster's Responsibilities
(Or how to organize a kampout without pulling out your hair) Your perk
for being wagonmaster is two (2) free nights of kamping (fri & sat).
Manna
Non-perishable household/grocery items for Manna are collected three
(3) times a year. They are collected at the April and November kampouts
and at the December brunch.
Raffle Prizes
As soon as you are going to be a wagonmaster, keep your eye out for
good buys on raffle prizes.
Raffle prize purchases are re-imbursed by the Kamper Klub according
to the following schedule:

$150.00 15 or less kampers

$200.00 16 to 24 kampers

$250.00 25 or more kampers

$500.00 Holiday Brunch
Other Expenditures
Other expenditures may include:

$350.00 Holiday brunch centerpieces & tickets

$050.00 Contest prizes
4-5 Weeks Before

Design and print flyer advertising the next Kampout - Include
-
Place, Dates, Cost, Activities Planned, Time of Meeting and Brunch, Your
Name and Address, Address of Kampgrounds and Map, if Needed

At the Wagonmaster's Discretion, the Evening Meals on Friday and Saturday
are Determined. It could be a Potluck, Restaurant, On Your Own or Hors
d' oeuvres

All expenses accrued for the flyer (stamps, printing) are reimbursed by
the Treasurer

Mail out flyer to all members. The Treasurer has address labels of all
the members. The flyer is mailed AFTER the previous month Kampout.

Ask previous wagonmasters for help designing the flyer, if needed.

Kamping fees are currently $30.00 each for Friday & Saturday. Additional
nights are charged at the kampground's regular fees

Have checks made payable to: El Konejo Kampers

Set deadline for reservations on the flyer, if needed.

Ask Vice-President for brochure from Kampgrounds, if available
-
Call President with questions if in doubt.
2-3 Weeks Before

Purchase raffle prizes
-
Pick up supplies from the previous month's wagonmaster or pick them up
at the previous Kampout if you attended. The Supplies include:

Klub Sign, Manna Box, Paper Tablecloths, Raffle and 50/50 tickets (2 colors)
and ticket containers
-
Collect Reservation checks and money from kampers
One Week Before
-
Make a list of all Kampers that are attending (kamper list form available)

Depending on Kampground policy, advise number of kampsites that will not
be utilized
Day of Kampout
-
Arrive early to assign Kamping sites based on size of rig. If you are not
available, appoint someone else

Deputize the Sheriff who will fine members for ?????????
Saturday Morning
-
Set out Klub Sign on the front of your rig.

Set out the raffle prizes on display table by your rig
-
Arrange tables for the Brunch and Meeting
-
Arrange for someone to sell raffle and 50/50 tickets
-
Arrange the time for the drawings.
-
Give the Treasurer all proceeds from the raffles, 50/50, fines and reservations.
-
Settle up with the Kampground. The Treasurer will help with this.

Submit all your expenses to the Treasurer for reimbursement.
