Our trip in July was to Oceano Elks Lodge. Always a favorite for the group and close to the beach. This trip included Paul Stein (Wagonmaster), Victoria Grindley, John Pucket, Jane Watson, Mike and Mary Flannery, Jim and Kathy Moy’e, Rik and Shirste Gessler, and Jim and Jan Ryland.
Thursday night, the group went to our favorite local restaurant – Jocko’s – in Nipomo. We always have great food and steaks, with more than enough to take leftovers back to camp. Friday, a couple of the guys, including Paul, John and other, went golfing. The rest of the group, including Jan, Sharon, Jane, Kathy, Jim, Shirste and Rik, went winetasting. Friday night, some of us ventured to the Lodge for Cook your own Steak night. Others ventured off to local eateries.
Saturday was a day to play games, along with raffles. Everyone met up with an appetizer and the games began. Kathy won the 50/50 raffles and The Rylands the free campout. Of course, John Puckett and Kelly (Virginia’s friend) won at Corn Hole. A good time was had by all. We are all looking forward to Oceano next year.
