In March, the El Konejo Kampers ventured out to Pechanga RV Resort in Temecula, California. What a beautiful RV park. A small but mighty group didn’t let the bad weather get us down! That group included Virginia Grindley, Jane Watson, John Puckett, Cheryl Templeton and her brother, the Moyes and the Gesslers. We spent most of the time inside our coaches, playing games and snacking on yummy food. We celebrated Jane’s new, beautiful coach – perfect for her and her dog, Jackson.
We had a lovely dinner at a restaurant in the Casino. Some of us played the slots (with gloves on). Even though it rained practically the entire time we were there, we had a great time. The day after we left, Pechanga decided to close their doors due to the Coronavirus – when we were there it was before the restrictions, but we are glad they made that decision.
Because we are concerned about the health and well-being of our members and the community, we have postponed our next two camp outs to Santa Maria Elks Lodge and Santa Barbara Elks Lodge. We do have an “unofficial” camp out at Rincon in June – hopefully it will have re-opened by then. Our website will have the latest updates.
Our thoughts are with our fellow members, please stay healthy and safe.
