The El Konejo Kampers had eight rigs turn out for our Santa Maria campout. Campers included Jim and Kathy (Wagonmasters), Carol and Anne, Jimmy and Patty, Rik and Shirste, Jane, Lyssa and April in her new RV, Mike and Mary and Johnny and Teresa. Because of our Covid-19 limitations, we were forced to entertain ourselves.
Faye Stevens showed up on Friday to show off her new Cadillac and stayed to play dice games. Some went to the lodge for chicken dinner and the rest of us had pizza delivered to the camp site.
Saturday morning we all had breakfast at the camp site. Eggs were cooked by Mike, sausage by Jimmy, hash browns by Rik, bacon by Jim, gravy with hockey puck biscuits by Kathy. Our many thanks to Jane who replaced the biscuits with rolls.
Our Sheriff, Lyssa, did a great job and also won the free campout. The 50/50 drawing was won by Kathy. We ended the afternoon with a corn hole tournament, won by Mike and Carol. Jimmy and Patty came in a close second place.
Though it was smoky, the weather was great and we all had a good time.
